The UCSF Police Department would like to invite you to a Town Hall on Thursday, October 16, 2025, at 12 p.m. at the Byers Auditorium at Genentech Hall to review our most recent annual AB 481 report. You may attend in person or via Zoom.

California Assembly Bill (AB) 481 requires California law enforcement agencies to obtain approval of a Military Equipment Use Policy by their applicable governing body prior to taking certain actions related to the funding, acquisition, or use of military equipment as defined by the legislature. To help guide this process and create transparency for our community, we have established a webpage to provide all required materials, including department policy, current applicable equipment inventory, and the full text of the bill.

Visit our website for more information. If you are unable to attend, you can provide public comment through the registration links.
