The UCSF Police Department is a service-oriented, community policing organization charged with providing the very highest level of public safety services to the campus community. All sworn officers have full police powers statewide, with primary jurisdiction on property owned, operated, or controlled by the University of California. Officers and staff of the UCSF Police Department are responsible for many aspects of law enforcement, including community policing, criminal investigations, crime prevention, emergency management, building access control, and Campus and Medical Center security services.
