Wireless Telephone Law

On July 1, 2008, two new wireless telephone laws will go into effect regarding the use of cell phones while operating a motor vehicle. The new California Vehicle Code (CVC) sections are: 23123 CVC, "Motorist 18 and Over May Use a Hands-free Device While Operating a Motor Vehicle;" and 23124 CVC, "Drivers Under the Age of 18 May NOT Use a Wireless Telephone or Hands-free Device While Operating a Motor Vehicle."...read more

As required by federal law, the Police Department prepares and distributes crime alert bulletins to the campus community on all reported crimes or information considered to be a threat to students and/or employees. This is accomplished via electronic list serves, campus news services, mail services, facsimile messages, hand bulletins, and distribution to specific locations. All notices are available for review at the Police Department.
