The Investigations & Support Services Divisionencompasses a number of specialty units, including the Investigations Section, the 911 Emergency Communications Center (ECC) and the Crime Prevention Unit. The Investigations Section conducts investigations on all reported major crimes, maintains investigative liaisons with other law enforcement agencies and develops crime analysis information. The ECC dispatches police, answers 911 calls from UCSF facilities and monitors fire and intrusion alarms. The Crime Prevention Unit coordinates campus-wide personal safety education and conducts crime trend analysis. The Investigations & Support Services Division is also responsible for Technology Support, Property and Evidence Management and Fleet Management.
