For UCSF Campus premises

  • All proximity cards are inactive when issued

  • After access is added, it takes approximately one hour before your access will be active

  • Replacement cards: access on previous card profile will automatically transfer over to new card within one hour

Your department representative will have the ability to add access to the different areas/sites where the department has a physical presence.

Access Policy

  • After-hours electronic access can be granted to someone meeting one of the following important criteria:
    • A person needing regular and on-going access to a building after the specified business hours and/or on weekends.

    • A person having on-going emergency responsibilities that requires after-hours, weekend or holiday access to a building.

NOTE: If you do not meet the guidelines for after-hours access (determined by the business hours of each individual building) you may always gain access by entering at the main entrance of the building, present your UCSF ID card and sign in with Security.
